Many, many people think it is fun to shop - some are inclined to clothes, some to books.

If it were simply a question of most efficient distribution system, then we would not need 90% of the retailers currently profitable.

Barnes and Noble: BOO ! We have a Mall here in Omaha, in fact, it's 1.5 miles due West of Buffett's house. B&N moved into it on the condition that the 3 existing bookstores in the Mall would NOT get their Leases renewed when they expire. Therefore, I avoid B&N, OR, i will go to B&N, look for the book i need, then go home and buy it from Amazon. Or i might go across the street to Border's. B&N and Borders: usually with a mile of each other. Kinda like 'Best Buy' is always within one mile of any 'ToysRus'.......
another B&N BOO: the ones here do not carry IBD, but Border's do.
