I just assumed that as a trading house, the same rules would not necessarily apply to them. I also assumed that they were on both sides of the 354,800 trade. Was Wolverton on the sell side for that one?

Thats true for you and I Doug but not the Brokerages. If they wish to move 300K betwen accounts they can and they also get the benefit of claiming the loss or gain. If Yorkie has four house accts, they can sell and buy from different accts...as long as they don't use the same acct within 30 days they are fine!
