Paul, 2M cache does NOT add significantly to system cost, maybe $10 at most. K6-3 is 15% faster than PII clock for clock and it only loses 2.5% to 5% of this advantage with a normal 1M L3 cache. (Ref: 206.132.42.114 I just bought a new 1M cache Super7 motherboard for $69. That includes A3D positional audio and all the connectors and brackets for USB and PS/2, usually an additional $10-$15. The infrastucture costs for Socket 7 are extremely low, still lower than Socket 370. The SiS motherboards with decent 3D video (not great, about equal to an i740) and sound are coming out now for peanuts. Petz
