Wow, what a year 1998 was! New faces on the thread, new faces at Ancor, new products and even an OEM or two.......

With the year behind us and my (self-imposed) exile over, I thought that I would respond to your question:

There was no one seller that you could pin-point the action to. Dain would jump ahead when the action slowed. As was evident when the stock would trade in 16's and the small ask size: 1. As soon as size would come in, and there were some nice blocks bought up today, Dain jumped out of the way. Kinnard was buying most of the day. The rest of the action included NITE, MASH and SHWD. At the close today, there were 4,200 shares @ 4 1/2, 3,200 @ 4 5/8, 1,000 @ 4 11/16 and 5,300 @ 4 3/4. The buy side MMs have moved up above 4, the first time I have seen this in a while.

It is interesting to note that over on Yahoo!, a poster mentioned that there was some size that had to be moved both buy/sell and that 4 3/8 was a breakout. There was quite a bit of size that moved out today, on the buy size above 4 1/2.

Is this the so-called January effect, or is the Fibre field really starting to heat up?

The first trading day of 1999 is off in the right direction. May 1999 turn into our 1996, no wait........ Our 1997, no wait......... Our 1998, no wait........

Anyhow, here is looking at an interesting 1999.
