Skeets:

The game with Green Bay was fun to watch, but wasn't a great game. Too many turnovers, penalties, etc. It was what it was...a game between two wildcard teams, neither of which figures to go all the way unless they somehow change their season-long playing behavior. I've been a '49er follower since the '50's, but not really a fan of this year's model...or last year's either, for that matter. I guess I'm not a true fan...gave up my season tickets when they moved from Kezar. Just can't stand the 'Stick (or Harney's mansion, he was the concrete contractor that got rich off the thing), for political reasons. The only time I could force myself to go there was for the '62 series...I'd been given box seats by first base, and just couldn't resist. But, I only went to the first game, felt uncomfortable the whole time, and gave the seats to a friend. Never been back. Never will go back.
Anyway, I think the dirty bird will do the dirty deed all over the niners this Saturday, especially if Hearst is hurting. Not that I'm a fan of anything Atlanta...I still have the memory of the idiot fans doing their idiot act at baseball games. And how could any American like a town where Jane Fonda is a socialite?
