On line retailing is the catalogue business of the new milllenium. FHT is the 2nd largest (maybe largest with the recent additions) and as such has the logistics and backoffice operations to conduct the business profitably. Only a portion of catalogue customers will move online the growth is in the online transaction. FHT's execution will determine their place, however with their addition (as director) of the guy from Witt Capital I think they're serious. Additionally FHT is the type of play funds would invest in to play internet retailing (other than the obvious in AMZN, that presents greater downside). If I was in AMZN big time I would have trouble sleeping, FHT is a much safer play with more upside potential IMO. Of course you can always move to cash.

Mr. X,

Welcome to His little thread. Step forward, kneel and taste the sacrificial wafer. Good....Now join the others in a refreshing glass of Pink lemonade, or would you prefer the Kool-Aid?

FHT's customers are dirtbags, no doubt. However their internet strategy is two-fold. One they are using the net to better serve their existing customers, but secondly they are also broadening their customer base away from beer swilling-trailer park living-National Enquire reading-tv dinner eating-Sally Jessie Raphael watching-common folk.

They are broadening their client base to genteel individuals such as yourself who no doubt spend $8.00 on a bottle of designer water at restaurants that serve you uncooked plates of "sashimi quality" tuna that you wash down with Pinot Noir. They will cater to people like who live in a fancy condo, drive a Range Rover and have plenty of disposabel income and free time to sit in front of the computer and order flowers from 1800 flowers direct not to mention the many other new services they have acquired.

What do you think the average income is of highly successful Home Shopping Network?

In addition FHT will earn over a buck on its core business, so you are only paying 16X for a very solid catalger with plenty of internet upside...Cheap Cheap Cheap.

Mr. Pink

All his humble opinion.
