That's all good news for us. . .especially if we continue to dig into the ones we like best, while they are unloved and near lows. This legit stock bottom fishing is the intelligent traders penny arena, IMO. Big potential with far less downside risk. We are in a good place as market takes it's time deciding direction.

Before I would short 500. . .I would check historical charts on first few weeks of Jan. Last year, if I recall was a rally.

William,
Partly! Hope everyone takes time to read WSJ today. Front page story about I-nut stocks, and one guy who plays on S/I. This guy made 600 trades, on a $150k account, and did 50% profit last year.(That is a low gain, for 600 trades, IMO) Anyway, it is a good story, a must read for all. Here is the S/I profile of the dude>>http://www.exchange2000.com/~wsapi/investor/personalprofile-2812406

I agree the return for 600 trades is not that great. But I have learned a great deal in that time, a lot the hard way which is probably why the return is lower than it should be. e.g., shorting 300 YHOO at 74 was probably not the best trade of the year! Anyway, targets are higher for this year.

Plus, my overall income would be a whole lot better off if I'd just focus on my dayjob.

Best of luck to you and everyone on this thread,
Chuck

Not a good article IMHO...It doesn't mean that every company is a scam though...We just need to be careful and do plenty of DD...Remember that...
