Charles,

Really I'm not much of a vette or ray fan but I'd love to have a 62 or 63,327,knock-offs convertable etc.,,,,,,

FWIW, I'm still pretty much a Corvette fan. I own a 67 Corvette Coupe with a 427 c.i. 435 HP engine, heavy duty suspension and factory off-road side exhausts. It's a very rare car and is now worth mucho $$$$$. It's black, has only 43,000+ original miles on it and still is the "meanest" thing I've ever driven.

I've had it since Dec. 1976. I Bought it used to replace the original goodwood green 67 435 HP coupe that was stolen in Nov. 1967 about a year after I bought it (only 6,000 miles on the car). Back in 1967 I knew 13 people that had brand new 67's and all but one of us got our cars stolen. I was literally sick about mine getting stolen and kept dreaming about the thing. After ten years I couldn't take it any longer and found the present one in a national magazine advertising Corvettes/parts for sale.

I'll never sell this one (I'll probably will it to my nephew), and only let my closest friends even know where it is. If nobody knows where one is they certainly can't steal it! *g* It's a shame that we can't simply keep those things we've worked so hard to acquire without worrying about some "low life" taking it. Oh, well.

Dave

p.s. I sure wouldn't mind having a 57 Vette either. The limited production version with 283 c.i. and 283 HP is probably worth a fortune now.
