Thank you for understanding my intentions.

I have this dream that by the end of 1999 everyone on the thread will have learned to bat ideas around without batting each other around! Brainstorming is great fun if one doesn't have to wear protective armor! <G>

By the way, the 4th archived Forbes article -- "Murphy's Law" -- was also interesting, and pertinent to the current discussion. It talks about the main holding in one of Murphy's three mutual funds -- called Murphy New World Tech Convertible Fund (MNWTX).

Glycomed converts represent 26.4% of this fund's assets!
No wonder he's enthusiastic about Ligand!!
(... not to bash Ligand, but just to wonder if Murphy is capable of heroic objectivity ...)

Someone should explain to Murphy about diversification, and biotech baskets .... <g>
I wonder if his followers are aware of this heavy investment ...

Look at it, and see if it hits you the same way it does me ....
