OFF TOPIC

Actually, John I don't know what your point was. (Nor do I really care any more). All I know is that you seemed to take offense when I said that index fund managers didn't want to lose money. And -- when did I ever say that index fund activity fees were high? I make a lot of mistakes, John -- but please -- that wasn't one of them. Believe me -- I know what their fees are.

Putting this to rest is a great idea. Who knows, maybe we can even help each other. All I ask is that you think twice before flaming me in the future. And lay off the capitals (as you did when telling me how WRONG I was). A polite correction (if you think its warranted) is enough. I assume you are new here -- as it says so in your bio. So, unless, you have more yelling you want to lay on me, I will forget our little "run in" ever happened.

<< May we please put this to rest about what an index fund is >>

I'll second that.

All SI readers in favor signify by saying "AYE".

All opposed?

Motion passes. (with a resounding majority)

That concludes our new business discussion, AOL and index funds.

We now return to old business, discussion of AOL as an investment, long or short.

Carry on ladies and gentlemen,
