Robin, buying naked calls is an atrocious way to invest -- it's more like gambling. Not only does the stock need to close above the strike price plus the cost of the option plus commissions, but it must do that within a certain time frame. You would be much better advised to either buy the equity outright, or sell naked puts which are, in effect limit orders for which you get paid. TTFN, CTC
