I have a question about buying books on-line. Each book lists a rip-off amount for S&H

John, the S&H includes a fixed charge and a variable charge. For example, at all-direct, it charges $3.95 + $0.85*number of books. At books-a-million, it charges $2.95 + $0.95*number of books. You have to check each company. But it's pretty easy, all you need to do is go to each web site to get a total price, and then pick a cheapest one. If I buy only one book, I would rather go to the local book store.

The paradox. It is
so efficient and great that nobody will profit from it.

Very profound!!
