I agree with you, Keith. The results to date a very dismal. However, keep in mind we don't know the geology and as Shirley points out, they did get some reasonable intercepts. I wouldn't write-off the project just yet. It may be that the drilling has revised their interpretation and they wish to follow up other possibilities before throwing in the towel. We'll soon know their thoughts.

There are 2 more projects at Guinoloza and Uchcumachay. Both have good potential. If QTR sells off more tomorrow, my bet is QTR could again be a good buy.

Meanwhile I'm looking at the holes you posted from Arequipa's days at Pierina. Enough to break my heart after Newcrest's results. Perhaps Barrick can pull something comparable. I'm sure my accountant would agree that would be nice and the sooner the better.

Hi Keith, Yes, it is true that Pierina had a lot of spectacular holes, but as the average overall grade 1.81 g/t suggests,(Barrick's figures) they weren't all like that, or you would have a much higher average grade. Whose to say that they won't find a higher grade section? Arequipa had the benefit of the pits and tunnels to lead the way, which made it much easier to target the drilling. As far as the Pico Machay goes, I still think it requires more drilling before we can say whether it has any potential. Who knows at this point? I hope it does, but if it doesn't, it won't be the first time that a property came up dry. Your guess is as good as mine!:-))

Cheers

Shirley
