Either did I until I took a smoking cessation class last Fall. The instructor of the class gave me all that information about the addiction level being much more severe if you start before 20. He said the tobacco companies knew about these receptor cells from their own research many years before the gov't got their hands on the info. He also gave me the info about the tobacco company that put an additive in their low tar/ low nicotine cigs to make them 3x more addictive. By the way, I haven't smoked in 7 weeks!!!! Everytime I desire a cigarette, I think of info like what I stated above.........it helps me to stay away from smoking. Cigarettes are now 4.10/pack in Ca. Pat Trinchero
