REH,

Here's a former announcement that Transcend made in Dec. as to all the applications for RMBS being inside their products:

Rambus RIMM modules

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ORANGE, California, December 14, 1998 - Transcend Information Inc.,
one of the world's largest OEM memory manufacturers, has entered into
an agreement with Rambus Inc. to produce Direct Rambus RIMM modules.
Intel, with the endorsement of leading PC OEMs, is enabling Rambus(circle-R)
memory for use in performance desktop PCs in 1999.

Transcend's agreement clears the way for its full implementation of Rambus architecture in Transcend's award-winning product line. Rambus high-bandwidth memory RIMM module enjoys broad industry support. System applications for Rambus RIMM modules include personal computers, workstations and servers. Rambus RIMM
modules will provide up to three times the effective performance over today's PC100 SDRAM DIMM modules. At the same time, Rambus RIMM modules use standard industry assemblies similar to those of today's DIMM memory modules. For PC main memory, a Direct Rambus memory system will fit within the same physical, power
and thermal profiles of a similarly configured 100-MHz synchronous DRAM memory system.

"Rambus has been working closely with Intel to incorporate the power-management features required by mobile platforms into Direct Rambus DRAMs," said Dave Mooring, Vice President and General Manager of Rambus Inc.'s PC Division. "As a result, a Direct Rambus memory system will meet Intel's Mobile Power Guidelines and be the optimal memory solution for mobile platforms in 2000 and beyond."

Watch what a little volume does - think this is the day we leave 100 behind until the 2/1 split
