Larry, no offense taken (by me at least). I know your posts are pretty good-natured.

I was short AMZN and YHOO for a short while last spring, too. I took a small (relative to the move this year) loss, but unbelievably the I can't even see the blip that I thought was the top on the chart anymore! I shorted later this year for another 5 point loss (again, not too bad considering the moves it makes).

I've watch ONSL lately waffling whether to buy it or not. I was going to get in at $20 at one point, but it looks like I missed the boat. I did make some money shorting it though earlier this year. You are right about ONSL being very risky. I have bought a few things from them and feel the quality of ONSL's merchandise is not too good and not very aggressively priced. I won't buy anything from there again.

FWIW - I'd rather short the stinkers too vs legit growth stock (albeit most are overvalued IMO). In fact I'm looking for stinkers to short at this very moment!

Good luck!

Don

larry,

Arrogant or not I like it when people do not beat around a bush and go straight to the point! I've been bullish for some time myself and have put out many warnings about shorting the internets also. I agree with you 100% on not shorting the leaders like MSFT and CSCO, and in due time the internets will be able to be shorted, but not now in my opinion! Not taking away from Roger, but I think I can make a list of internet stocks that will be trading much lower in a year from now, but not sure I could withstand the pain they may cause until they break! If one shorts a portfolio as Roger did today with a million dollars that person better have have at least 10 times that amount to hold out for the short squeezes and just plain old fashion bull market that is taking place in the internet stocks. I use to believe most of the moves were caused by short squeezes, but have decided there is more to this move then just shorts covering. I believe most shorts have learned their lesson by now in most of these. I believe I will wait and make my move with my real money and my play money at a latter date in time!
