One of the advantages of hiking, paddling, etc. is that you can go into those passionate sessions without worrying about keeling over in the middle of it, which if nothing else would be a bit distressing (I imagine) to the other party. One wishes to avoid imposing on others when possible, and that would, I suspect, qualify as an imposition in anybody's book. Especially if it was the wrong (by whatever definition) other party. Got to go and think for a change. Somebody asked me an intelligent question on the Asia Forum, and etiquette demands an answer. I love reading the intelligent answers over there, but I always panic when faced with the prospect of trying to come up with one. Much easier to tell paddling stories, or even - gasp - talk about stocks. Damn, where do I think I am, anyway... Time to turn this machine off, before I get tempted to put a paddle through it. Which would be serious abuse of a good paddle. Steve
