Dave, I'm well aware of the risks involved in trading options as well as the rewards. I've been trading options for the past 6 months and don't pretend to know everything but I've had some very good plays and a few loses but i've learned tremendously from them. The problem was that I listened to my broker and didn't do my own research which is what I normally do. Nowhere in my normal sources of research was TLAB's listed as a good play right now. So, I've never felt comfortable with the trade from the beginning. I know, I obviously should have never entered if I felt this way but on most occasions, my broker has made some very good calls so I blindly went with his suggestion. Since it was his call to begin with he knew what it was he was looking for and he up and left the next day leaving me with a stock that I wasn't really familiar with. Guess what.... another great lesson learned! Unfortunately the lesson learned is going to cost me a little as I can't imagine that the stock is going to move enough between now and options expiry to put me in the money.

From what I've now started reading on the company, it is a good company with alot of potential. I'll have to look into the possibility of moving into a later month with the out of the money calls as a way of salvaging the play. My broker will be back in town tomorrow.... I can't wait to hear what he has to say. (I'm being sarcastic of course!)

Thanks Dave for your insight.... it's much appreciated and I understand the purpose of your initial warning regarding the risks involved with options. I didn't follow any of my usual rules for what, why and when to enter a trade and it will be a good lesson learned. Take Care,
Robin
