Perception is never reality. Apologise if I conveyed that. There is no such thing as absolute reality. Perception is **my** reality. One person may take a look at a situation and reach a totally different conclusion from the other one. Both have different perceptions. What **is** the reality ? Is the situation absolute ? American atrocities in Vietnam - they were perceived necessary then. It was American reality - at the time. Can they be perceived necessary now ? Our realities have changed. We have "moved" since then.

Collective perception is what you mean by reality. The reality of todays market is the collective perception of inet shareholders. The day perception changes, markets will crash. My arguement is - what will change that perception ?

You are right in your observation of a upward spiral - the perception shapes our beliefs, our beliefs make us behave in a certain way, and those actions shape our environment. Thats what I was discussing with CB, the triadic reciprocity. You talk about the disconnect. What would cause this disconnect ? I'm curious to understand this. Auric Goldfinger is paying $5000 for a piece of this wisdom.

<<the more books amzn sells the more they lose ;-)>>>
I couldn't have put it more beautifully. But you see the problem with this scenario is that the system is rewarding investors and AMZN for losing. (Lets forget about the physical/technical reasons - lets talk from psychological viewpoint only, for markets movements are based on sentiments) If investors are making money, what stops them ? Reality ? Whose reality ? Yours - you're not even participating in the system. You are an observer, how can you influence anything...? If you are shortthe sock, you are balancing the system, the trouble is, short positions are held by individuals who have a limited capacity to losses (my presumption, I may be wrong) whereas long positions are held by large investors. Is that a fair balance ?

The degrees ? You want to know mine ? Lets just say I'm adequately qualified to compete. Strangely, CB did not seem to mind- you do. Wonder why ? I thought everyone noticed - that's why I didn't want to exchange qualifications in full public eye. I'm happy to send you a record of my personal and professional achievement in private mail should you so desire. And in the end - who knows ? I may make them up. Or she may have made them up ? (Sorry CB, don't mean to say you did) We're all as good as our last conversation.

I did not initiate the "attack", she considered my proposal about Bandura and the earlier one to read the posts at the yHoo thread with mistrust. There reallyisn't any connection between Bandura and Ingram Bergman - is there ? I really admire Bandura and think it explains the phenomenon. ANd we had reallyhad some serious conversations along the lines in the past 2 days. You may choose to mistrust or disagree.

I don't normally trash people. OTOH, I don't expect to be trashed either.
