Hello everyone,

Best wishes from Holland, where the weather sucks but stock market profits are tax-free. I've been lurking on this thread for almost a year, but eventually had to give my credit card number to SI so I could get involved.

As a complete novice myself, I can only say that this newsgroup is the finest I've found on the Net. So what if it takes some time to read 9,000 postings? It's better than watching TV, and I couldn't believe how much knowledge has been accumulated in there. Did my first ever trade last November, made $23 profit after commissions, still laughing over that. Never mind, it's still better than losing... You all sound like good people to me, and I'm looking forward to learning still more from you all. Incidentally, I've been several times to Doug's site and I think his tools are great; maybe I need more experience before I can make full use of them, but nothing comes for free, right? Thanks to you all.

By the way, is anyone still taking an interest in TECD? I remember that it came up on this thread way back but it's gone pretty quiet. The stock still looks like a rollercoaster, and I wondered if anybody has an opinion of its usefulness in the CC area. I wrote some Jan40 calls on 21 Dec for 4 1/2, then the rear end fell out of the stock and I bought back at 15/16 on 23 Dec when the stock was at 34 1/2. Now they're back around $40 and I guess it might be time to take another dip. Any advice on this one?

Thanks again.

Nigel
