to: Ike, Chuck, and J.T.,

J.T., thanks for stepping in during Ike's absence to share your market evaluation. GREAT JOB!!!

Chuck, congratulations on your WSJ debut! Thank you for your continuing efforts on the Idea web site.

Ike, thank you doesn't even come close to the gratitude and appreciation I feel for you. Be safe my friend. When I read about the recent attempts against the PM's life, instantly I thought of you and prayed you were not in the area. Please be careful!

Best wishes and a profitable '99 to all.
Carey

We're bombarded on all sides with reasons for the market to go up or down... I just simply listen to the market...

Right now the Advancers are continually beating the Decliners... The New Lows are below 40 again, and upside volume is burying downside volume... Until this changes, my money is on the table... : >

Everyone has an opinion, but the Market speaks the loudest...

Only 1 month and a few days ago: "Nikkei down to 13,230 area and dragging China along down to 1,100 and retest of August lows. Both markets bounced off intraday lows nicely. A double close below 13,000 and asian flu goes from Japan to China 2X close below 1,100 and eventually to U.S. market shores. THIS RETEST OF THESE LOWS MAY HOLD FOR NOW, BUT KEEP AN EARLY WATCH IF FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS MATERIALIZE". China has now taken the lead here and needs to get out of sub 1,100 level. Japan is still holding reasonable support but if she begins to wreak havoc keep in mind that it has not had 2 closes below 13,000 since 85' or 86'.
Now the U.S. markets unlike Jan 5 have negative momentum . Here is a link for daily southeast asia charts as markets unfold while many U.S. market participants are approaching r.e.m. sleep. astrikos.com Keep refreshing the link for updates. I'm OUT. JT
