IDT's Mgmt. apparently squandering opportunities as well as investor confidence...The stock has gone down 16 out of the last 21 days and the past six trading sessions all have gone down from the openings... The trend and sentiment is decidely down. Does mgmt care that during one of the greatest bull runs in market history, the stock has had a lackluster performance even though revenues and earnings have been very good? It is apparent thus far that mgmt. simply does not have the saavy nor the inclination to hire someone who can articulate the companies ideas and bring the type of media coverage/PR and deals that would increase shareholder value...? I know that according to valueline and even buffetology they are a good company that's growing. However, IDT's, inability to articulate the salient points(highlights) of their businesses and provide the market with direction about the future is clearly reflected in the share price and current investor sentiment. Although, this is a microcosm of investors at best still it is a reflection of current thinking, probably on the street as well. Have we been misled or is mgmt being secretive for some unknown reason? If, indeed they are being "secretive" all their secrets will be mote if the market does not catch wind of them or like them... I fully expect us to retest the $13.00 range which IMHO, will force some selling and add to the frustration that many here curently feel... I'm inclined to believe that this is obviously on the horizon... Perhaps by weeks end, we could ultimately retest the low for all of 1998 ie 11-7/8 or lower in the current climate. Some if, not many won't be willing to wait for the duration as their confidence will have been shattered... Management has a choice and I feel that the example provided by Lorina5 was an excellent one... Show some initiative as well as direction. By the time mgmt. does articulate their ideas goals and expectations many will have left and IDT, will be left to drift in mediocracy for 3-6 months because of the lack of follow thru on already stated ideas... I would like to know more about what is going on behind the screens/scenes, R+D,up their sleeves...choose and acronym... I will make one note: crying over 7/16 loss on the day is mote...it's the downtrend that quite frankly, has to change and this will not occur unless mgmt re-invents the wheel of misfortune they have created for investors, leaving us to waller in the quagmire of ineptitude and disillusionment...IDT, needs to shift their idealogy/MARKETING to EMBRACE and EFFECT-reflect a CHANGE in investor & street psychology regarding IDT cheers Byron
