CyBerCorp Breaks Monopoly With Introduction of Price
Server
12:13 p.m. Jan 05, 1999 Eastern

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- With a flip of a switch on January 4,
CyBerCorp, Inc., an electronic trading technology and brokerage services
company, began operating on its own price server, which means CyBerCorp will
be among the fastest in the industry at transmitting data. A price server is a
program that acts as an interface between the market data feed and the trading
application.

The announcement also heralds the breaking of a monopoly in the price server
market, which was previously dominated by Townsend Analytic of Chicago, Ill.

"This breaks a monopoly, extends our proprietary territory and at the same time
improves the range of brokerage services that we can offer to our customers," said
Philip Berber, Chairman and CEO of CyBerCorp, Inc. "Our price server currently
interfaces directly with PC Quote and S&P ComStock data feeds and more are
planned."

Individual day traders, who use CyberTrader via the Internet and CyBerCorp's
online brokerage (CyBerBroker), will benefit immediately. Those who use
CyBerTrader in broker-dealer trading rooms will start to come on line on January
15. Access to the price server will also be offered to a wide number of financial
data and system vendors.

Berber said the project was a year in the making and took approximately 60
percent of the company's software development resources. Since Townsend's
price server was developed some years ago, Berber felt there were areas that
CyBerCorp could improve on and ultimately provide a faster price server,
including real-time Level II data, charting, database and decision support tools.

"Design is everything when it comes to a price server and ours is state- of-the-art,"
said Berber.

CyBerCorp, Inc. is an electronic trading technology company. Formed in 1995 in
Austin, Texas, it is the parent company to three wholly owned subsidiaries:
CyBerTrader Inc. -- which designs and develops proprietary electronic trading
software and price server technology; CyBerCenter Inc. -- which provides
networking and server facilities and software training and technical support and;
CyBerBroker Inc. -- which provides next generation online electronic brokerage
services to day traders and active investors by way of the "Virtual Trading Room."

CyBerTrader is now used by almost 1,000 day traders and online investors via the
Internet. CyBerCorp's web site is cybercorp.com.
