I understand that MTC will be pricing Celebrex aggresively, so that the daily cost would be between $2-$3 a day. That should help keep the insurance companies calm. Also, I think it is an excellent pre-emptive strike to grab market share. Instead of exploiting their small window of opportunity and charging big bucks, they are going for numbers and that is the right thing to do for the long term. Once people have started using Celebrex, why would they switch to anything else (especially a drug that has a name that sounds like an STD). I think we're about to see the Clairol effect in action within a few weeks. I'm excited.
