NEW YORK, Jan 5 (Reuters) - CBS Corp. executives will announce a deal with America Online Inc. <AOL.N> later this week to become the exclusive broadcast news provider for the online service, the New York Times said on Tuesday.

Under the deal, CBS will replace Walt Disney Co.'s <DIS.N> ABC News as the provider of news in text, video and audio on AOL, the paper reported.

For AOL, the deal is likely to mean a more favourable financial arrangement than the ABC deal, an executive told the Times. CBS would gain access to AOL's 15 million subscribers, the largest number on the Internet
