How "old" is the stock list your fund is holding? -

"..Funds report their holdings to the SEC about four and a half months after the end of each quarter. Then the fund trackers have to input the information into their databases, so the holdings data you're using to make decisions is typically 5 to 6 months old. Thus, for example, if you have a fund with a 100 percent turnover (which is average for most actively managed stock funds), there's a 50/50 chance stocks you think are in the fund have already been sold..."
