800 Travel Systems Plans Internet Cruise Reservation System

Higher Margin Cruise Reservations In Addition To Current Internet Airline Reservations

January 5, 1999 09:32 AM
TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- 800 Travel Systems, Inc. IFLY today announced plans to expand their Internet Reservation System to include Cruise packages. Clients will be able to perform virtual walk-throughs of available rooms before making their reservations. An Internet agent will also be available to assist in the reservation process. According to Forrester Research, Inc., leisure trip bookings could amount to $29.5 billion by the year 2003. 800 Travel Systems is aggressively pursuing this market.
"The Cruise business is a natural growth to our core business," said Mark Mastrini, president and CEO of 800 Travel Systems, Inc. "The positive feedback on our unique Internet Reservation System has encouraged us to press ahead with expanding our Internet offering into the higher margin Cruise business. The infrastructure is already in place to allow our agents to begin making cruise reservations. We will be enhancing our Internet offering and releasing this new service for both our Call Center operations and our Internet System simultaneously."

The Internet Airline Reservation System was released on Thursday, December 31, 1998. 800 Travel Systems, building on its current Internet Reservation System, is capitalizing on this growing market opportunity. Industry experts predict that Travel will be the number one Internet business.

800 Travel Systems, one of the 100 largest independent travel agencies in the United States, provides low-priced airline tickets for domestic and international travel through its easy to remember numbers "800-LOW-AIR-FARE" (800-569-2473) and "800-FLY-4-LESS" (800-359-4537) in addition to its online reservation system located at lowairfare.com.

This release contains forward-looking statements relating to the future performance of the Company. The ability of the Company to achieve the results anticipated is dependent upon various factors discussed in its annual report on Form 10-KSB, including the Company's relationships with various airlines and economic conditions impacting upon the success of the airline industry generally.

The Amigo's involvement with IFLY goes back about a month and not where you entered the picture. I do think that you got as lucky as a pig in shit and do not deserve any credit for calling what has occured or for doing any dd.

You shorted the stock on Fri. when the expected news didn't come out.
IFLY serves itself up by releasing the news after the bell on a holiday weekend. By Monday the news was old within a half hour after the market opened and profit taking followed. Weak hands from the herd mentality buying the shares on the way up, sold following the herd mentality on the way down. That's the story so far.

IFLY's business plan is excellent and they will continue to be succesful. IFLY's fall in the last two days has nothing with
anything on the S-1. You're an obnoxious, rude liar who got lucky while reading SEC documents on the beach at the Fontainbleu. Anyone giving you credit for IFLY's drop is being kind.
