Komrade Billski - Re: "These announcements by marketing partners are just ad offsets since they dropped out of the sky on the same day it was obvious."

You are living in a dream land !

Read the following:

400 MHz Celeron PCs are ALREADY in the STORES !

I happened to cruise by the CompUSA computer store this afternoon and LO' and BEHOLD !

CompUSA had two pallets of new HP Pavilion PCs on their showroom floor - one with 366 MHz Celerons ($842) and the other with 400 MHz Celerons ($1179).

On their display racks were two fully configured HP Celeron machines - one 366 and the other 400 MHz.

Clearly, these have been "in the pipeline" for quite a while !

The 366 MHz Celeron HP Pavilion has very, VERY SMALL form factor - no more than 8 or 10 inches high and about 12 inches deep.

Clearly Intel and/or HP has done a complete re-engineering of the
motherboard to get it as well as the other peripherals into such a small, unobtrusive box.

This was NOT an OVERNIGHT effort by these two companies !
