Just read about another interesting one -- California law enforcement agencies will be replacing all their breathalyzers. They work fine but just can't compute post-2000 dates, which would give defense lawyers a leg up in drunk driving cases. Products like this have interesting financial and legal implications. The company that makes breathalyzers stands to reap huge new sales -- but could they also be held liable for selling what turned out to be a defective product?
