LGND has been getting quite a bit of press lately. Michael Murphy and David Molowa on CNBC, Individual Investor Online, Medicine Man, LA Times, Kiplinger's. It's not that unusual for LGND to get plugs for the new year, but this year the list is longer than usual. I suspect that it is because LGND has two drugs recommended for approval, and more NDAs planned for this year. Many wait until right about now (just before final approval of product or first year of profitability) to invest, and a major Biotech consolidation is widely anticipated (with LGND listed on the BUYER side).
