Rashid, I've had the same problem several times with X. If you call they can quickly add to your account to give you buying power. I am, however not comfortable with this since they will ask what you think you should have...and then credit the amount.....I don't think they should have this power to add and subtract money from your account this easily.

I also think that the aggregate of accounts should be a zero sum situation. How they can add to one account without taking from another without alarms going off is still a big question to me. Anybody know the answer...?

Rumor is that another TNT branch was moving funds from one account to another for less than honorable purposes. I believe the story was posted either on MB or JBL threads. I also understand that branch has been closed.

Rashid,

Can someone honestly tell me if there have been cases of traders unable to access their trading equity using MB trading due to late reports from SouthWest securities?, or for any other reasons??

Yes that has happened. And MBT worked out a solution to the problem.

From a recent post:

As far as Southwest goes, they have been around a very long time. There has been occasions where SW has failed to "run the tape" in time to update everyone's buying power for the market open. It got bad enough that MBT created a completely redundant system that does this work when SW funks it up.

good luck,

funk

It has happened to me several times also using the X. Like shoot said you can call the X and tell them how much you think you should have and they will credit your account that much.
With the X after a trade is closed the funds may not show up for awhile. Profit is posted next day.
