Softlink Announces Leadership In Future Internet
With E-Mail Enhancement Software In An Interview With 'Wall Street
Reporter'

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Softlink, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SFLK - news) Vice President of sales,
Carol Prior, described how the number of e-mail users is expanding exponentially, with industry predictions of upwards of 247
million accounts by the year 2000, expanding to 800 million users by the year 2001. She went on to explain how Softlink, Inc.
is responding to this incredible market growth by giving e-mail users exactly what they want and need: the ability to replace
text-based messages with full voice and multimedia presentations. Carol further described how Softlink, Inc.'s Voicelink and
Powerlink software have redefined e-mail by using the following two analogies: ''If regular e-mail is like reading sheet music for
a song, Voicelink is like actually listening to the music, or if e-mail is like reading a book, Powerlink is like watching the movie.''

VP Carol Prior was also asked about the industry accolades received by Softlink, Inc. for its software. The list of accolades
described included a Four Star Editors Pick Award by Ziff Davis' ZD Net and a description by Internet Magazine of Japan as
''the best software among multimedia enabled e-mail products offered in the market.'' Other endorsements from Infoworld and
PC Fan of Japan gave high marks to Softlink, Inc. for innovation, functionality and ease of use.

Recently completed software bundling contracts with hardware manufacturers were also described as well as the company's
strong focus on the creation of foreign language editions of both Voicelink and Powerlink. A focus on the most innovative and
profitable uses of Voicelink and Powerlink were also clearly addressed as the value of using Softlink, Inc. products as sales,
promotional and customer service tools is outstanding. Many large firms in Asia have already adopted Voicelink as the medium
of choice for inter-company communications, and several U.S. firms are considering doing so as well.

The interview closed with a presentation by Carol of the opportunities currently being pursued by Softlink, Inc. in the on-line
dating and gambling arenas, as well as the intended inclusion of its software in several new on-line video games scheduled for
release this year.

The company is poised to take full advantage of the incredible growth occurring in Internet communication by providing e-mail
users with all the tools they need to communicate effectively.
