Paul, now the name is coming to me. I think Ive read a few of yours. Thanks for the BA tip & the article you supplied. Thats a print & a great all in one that Ill use as a reference. Makes it much easier to see the Clecs side of things & why they would prefer sdsl to adsl. I can't remember which one but a large isp is using Paradynes solution in BA area as well.

I found the "local legal counsel" & "Telecommunications Act" comments very interesting. Its going to be fun to read that article again @ the end of this year & next.

Much appreciated,

Dug

Paul, first let me thank you for an excellent and informative article on the LEC. You did a great job in presenting a clearcut narrative to a very intertwined and still unfolding story.

Unfortuately it sounds to me like a recipe for conflict, intrigue and sabotage -- or is that too strong. As an analogy I see it something like having Microsoft(ILEC) & it employees in charge of the Sun(CLEC) servers that share the same space in Redmond with the NT servers. If the analogy is way off base let me know.

What amazes me is that the arrangement works at all.

Now I can see why a reliable and well known provider like Westell becomes a big asset.

Thanks,
Michael
