(NASDAQ:AAPL) today unveiled three new Apple Studio Displays that deliver outstanding image quality and complement the striking design of the new Power Macintosh(R) G3 line. The new Apple Studio Displays include a 21-inch color-accurate Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) display for publishing professionals; a crisp 17-inch CRT display designed for a wide range of applications; and, a new version of its award-winning 15-inch flat-panel active matrix Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The new line includes:
* The Apple Studio Display with ColorSync -- This 21-inch display (19.8-inch viewable image size) is the ultimate display for publishing professionals, offering unparalleled Trinitron CRT performance. Complementing its stunning outward appearance, the display offers flicker-free viewing, ultra-fine resolution (1600 x 1200 at 85Hz), a four-port USB hub and a unique tilt-and-swivel stand that allows you to slide a keyboard underneath for extra desktop space. It features lifetime color calibration using ColorSync(R) technology, Apple's industry-standard software for managing color on computer monitors, scanners and printers, and it provides intuitive push button access to software controls for all screen adjustments.
* The Apple Studio Display -- This aggressively-priced 17-inch display (16-inch viewable image size) combines stylish design with a high performance DiamondTron CRT. * The Apple Studio Display, 15-inch flat-panel -- This award-winning display offers spectacular performance through thin film transistor active-matrix LCD technology. Apple designed the display to offer smart scaling for support of multiple resolutions, a wide viewing angle and video input.
