LWS, the ULBI plans in progress remain enigmatic. There may be a credibility issue or "wait and see" on the part of OEM's. Credibility could extend to patents, technology, or production capability. My guess is that OEM's are waiting to see who gets to market the "fustest with the mostest". If ULBI design is orbiting around the cobalt/graphite technology depicted in literature, the performance of their product is probably not greatly superior to existing lith ion cells. Therefore the remarks quoted by Javelyn from Power 98 may still reflect the attitude among some industry types, e.g. skepticism whether lith poly will hit a home run in '99. Look for VLNC, with their methodical and systematic forward movement to establish a bridgehead once the dots are connected. This should be decisive when third party endorsement is locked in.
