Still? Never is a more accurate word. <g> I am one of the few in Atlanta who liked him. He made some important enemies in the Atlanta media, which killed his public image. The Atlanta Falcons beat writer, Len Pasquerelli, despised him. They did not even speak for a couple of years. In Atlanta, the beat writer for the paper is generally the only person in the media who actually covers the Falcons, so his opinion becomes the party line. Plus, the editorialists for the paper are all bitter old men. Ted Turner pays them to write nice about the Hawks and Braves, so the only club they can unleash their venom on is the Falcons. It's quite sick, really, to read their diatribes. Pasquerelli to this day cites specific facts from games that are either totally untrue or totally out of context simply to discredit Galnville. One of the first things Reeves did when he came here is announce that Pasquerelli will not get away with what he did during the last regime.

I thought he was a very good coach. I expected him to be a bad announcer, but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard him. I, too, think he is one of the best. He's tremendously insightful. BTW, regarding the Moss debate on this thread, Glanville was on the radio here in Atlanta talking about this topic. He said no team has yet doubled him properly. Roll a CB up and press him at the line. Then bring a S over to cover the deep ball. IMHO, Moss will be unguardable in a few years, but he's not quite there yet.

Sorry for the long post. <g>
