John

Look at their web site - zicorp.com and the section under Zi 8
input. The features and benefits explain your concerns.

I talked to Rod Mitten, IR and CFO at Zi on Dec. 7. He said ,"We anticipate pos. cash flow in 1999." He also said that their main thrust is cellular phone technology, and that the computer software aspect is not proceeding very well (This last part is my interpretation of what he said).. I asked why and he said, "there are other input systems." I asked about voice recognition and he said that the problem is that there are 26 dialects in China. He also said that they have no debt. In addition, the Lucent agreement was to sit down and talk. He indicated that this is looking favorable. He said further that it is getting harder to get good , high-tech people at reasonable cost,so they have to focus on the most attractive areas (phones and and the new NCI agreement). The cellular phones will be able to leave messages in Chinese via Zi input. He said that they hope to do another cell phone agreement later. Hope this helps !.
