I don't want to belabor this, so I'll say that as a timing tool it may have some value- and certainly for a day trader- obviously. But your example to which I responded is clear. TA shows nothing 'til it's too late. As an indicator that there is some inside knowledge of fundamentals currently unknown by the masses- TA is but a guess(why indeed not buy a lotto ticket?) if usefull when you've a good idea what's to be announced- and the fundamental fact still rules the day. Predicting the future is what the market is all about. Many claim stocks are just little gambles. TA makes it so. Fundamentals makes it less so. I'd rather believe in a product, a management, a demand, and etc. than a chart! Think about it. The chart tells the past story- and the chart makes big turns on fundamentals- not a look at the historic chart! Long term results win out based on fundamentals. A stock may move with the market in a big way short term, granted. But the sox won't matter if NSM can't sell it's future products.

Whoops, I belabored it. Enough! I do enjoy reading TA Posts at times. Just hate to invest based on such....I've seen too many wait for the chart only to miss the boat! Go with fundamentals, believe in them first- you'll do better I strongly suspect.
