Besides, Republicans and Democrats are irrelevant when it comes to the wallet. It is Saint Alan who really has some degree of influence over the markets, and let's not forget that Saint Alan is and has been a great supporter of Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand. At one point in time, (before his Sainthood), Alan Greenspan was a great contributor to her cause.

St. Alan is the secret mole of the Objectivists.... he, he, he....

"If entry into a given field of production is not impeded by government regulations, franchises, or subsidies, the ultimate regulator of competition in a free economy is the capital market. So long as as capital is free to flow, it will tend to seek those areas which offer the maximum rate of return."

~ Alan Greenspan.

In "Antitrust", paper given at the Antitrust Seminar of the National Association of business economists. 1961.

"Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal" by Ayn Rand.

Yes, Alan Greenspan is Chief Supremo of the Federal Reserve today, I remind you that the Fed is independent of the government. Further, while influential in its own right, I believe that the Fed simply follows the market cue.

Imo, that is part of the reason that the market gives more credence to St. Alan and Robert Rubin, than the current collection of pathological sexual sickos, raving mad religious Ayatolhas, and bureaucratic talking heads that the government is.
