You'll be real happy with OWLD - just signed a deal with CISCO SYSTEMS for Internet Fax

PR Newswire - January 05, 1999 13:04

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- OneWorld Systems(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq: OWLD) today announced that it
has cross-licensed technology with Cisco Systems to facilitate Internet fax capabilities in each company's product lines.
OneWorld Systems has licensed its fax transmission technology to Cisco, and Cisco has licensed standards-based Internet
fax gateway technology to OneWorld Systems. The agreement is a technology exchange and not a financial transaction.

Small and medium sized companies are demanding cost-efficient platforms that facilitate integrated access to voice mail,
email and fax. This sector will be driven by IP based solutions, including IP-Fax services. Many ISPs and Enhanced
Services Providers are currently offering IP-based Fax solutions that can provide up to 70% savings on current long
distance fax charges. Courtney Munroe, Director, Business Network Services and E-Commerce Services at the market
research company IDC, said "IDC is projecting that the Unified Messaging Market in the U.S. will be approximately $3
billion by 2002. IP-based Fax services will constitute up to 10% of this market."

"Internet faxing provides enormous value to service providers and enterprises" said Mathew Lodge, Product Manager for
Internet Fax, Cisco Systems. "This cross-licensing helps to accelerate the deployment of standards-based Internet fax
technology."

"We believe that the addition of Internet fax to our OneWorld(R) 5000 communications servers' integrated capabilities
will further simplify the way small and medium businesses can communicate with the world around them," said Neil
Selvin, president and chief executive officer of OneWorld Systems, Inc. "Not only will our customers have Internet fax
capabilities, but they will also continue to communicate by fax, access the Internet and dial in from remote locations, all
with a single, easy to manage OneWorld 5000 product."
