Gerry

I don't have Windows On WallStreet , but I'm sure that the daily data can be downloaded. I would try it first in Windows On WallStreet format and then try ASCI format. Since they don't download by date but just by symbol ,I would try using the following setup . Make a new folder such as userdata , and then a sub folder such as can , then place the data into the can folder. So you would haveC:\userdata\can\^ which would represent all the symbols to be downloaded with a file per symbol. If that didn't work I would then try to download the files as txt files in case the downloading changes the files . So you would have C:\userdata\can\^.txt. If that still doesn't work I would suggest trying an ASCI file format.

One question if I may , does Windows On WallStreet have Candlevolume and Equivolume charting options available ?

Hope this helps

Gerry here is the answer which i've get from WoW tech. support

Thank you for your message to technical support.

You might want to try importing the data. Here is some information on the format that the Canada Stock Watch must match to import into Wow:

Import Formats
The data has to be in the following format:
Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume, Open Interest
All headers must contain Date as the first value and they must contain Close, all other values are optional.
With this format, the date must be formatted in YYMMDD format (i.e. 931201 = December 1, 1993).
Dollar amounts should contain decimal places (i.e. 12.00 instead of 12) and there must be a number before and after the decimal (0.925 instead of .925)
Each security has to be in a separate file and look like this:
970203,3.156,3.219,2.875,2.969,15639,0
970204,3.031,3.031,2.906,3.000,12296,0
970205,3.031,3.031,2.875,2.875,7160,0
970206,2.906,3.125,2.844,3.000,13330,0
970207,3.094,3.313,3.031,3.250,9492,0
970210,3.281,3.281,3.219,3.219,7904,0
970211,3.281,3.438,3.219,3.438,7989,0

Gerry or anyone - On dowloading daily prices:
I run this "fun" contest
exchange2000.com

and my download procedure is taking 20 stocks at a time and copying and pasting them into excel and then through some links I can get the closing prices for the 200 or so staocks.

Of course, I have no vested professional interest so I do not want to pay for the service - I think Canstock offers a paid service

Does anyone know of anywhere you can get online CDN close prices for free>
