OGM, Executive egos IMO, ... from Bloomberg....

The turmoil in Innovex's executive offices and boardroom has left analysts wondering what the outcome will be and whether key executives might exit the company.

Innovex's directors authorized Haley, Curtin's husband and the company's founder, to consider nominees for election to the seven-member board. On Dec. 7, Haley proposed a slate of seven nominees that included his wife, himself and Slagle. Two days later, the special committee looking into Curtin's allegations recommended that she not be nominated, though Haley ''will not consider'' a replacement, the proxy said.

Bradley Mook, a Schroder & Co. analyst who rates Innovex ''buy,'' said he understands that Curtin had aspired to be president and chief operating officer, though her cousin, William Murnane, was ''thought to be the natural choice to run the company,'' and was eventually chosen.

Curtin, 51, and Haley, 62, were married in June 1993. She joined Innovex in January 1996 as vice president and general counsel, and was executive vice president and secretary to the board before resigning in April. Briol, Curtin's attorney, doesn't dispute that she gained a reputation as a tough and aggressive businesswoman.

Curtin claims in the proxy that she ''experienced a hostile working environment created by generally sexist attitudes and sexist epithets'' directed at her. The proxy also states that ''individuals involved in the allegations'' deny them.

Curtin is an attorney who practiced law for 23 years with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and then ran her own law firm in Minneapolis, the proxy said.
