For the first time in recent memory, DELL is trading more shares than AOL (only slightly).

have you considered options? Sorta like "lease a stock"; you get the benefit of the price movement with only a small outlay of cash.

Dell options premiums are very reasonable these days. Buy a few contracts of Feb in-the-money calls... and take advantage of the next price surge.

However, it's also nice to have a little ownership in DELL too.
