Watch lists 1/4 - 1/6:BKE, GNET, CMGI, VRSN, ELNK, MSPG, XLSW, MXTR, ..Last 3 days watch lists and explanation.... 10 stocks every day with 3-4 highlights (look below) Yesterday the charts were reprinted on special accompanying informational pages, today they were summarized.
BKE on yesterday's list breaks out very strongly today to finish near high of the day. RDC on yesterday's list and HAL's today broke out as well as XLSW and ...Watch List for January 6, 1999,January 5, and January 4.. please check them in your TA software and you will no doubt retrace the pattern I was following when I made my selections. I also consider sector strength in making my selection. (the trend is king)even the approaching earnings season and fundamentals have a place in the daily lists (i.e. MXTR, PVSW, GNSSF)
I hope this helps as I get so many e-mails about the hows and wherefores on the criteria for my selections.. etc.. etc.. how long to watch.. when to sell. Most of the ones I hold I reiterate bullishness on the next few days as I have with the internets, MXTR,DBCC, EGRP etc. In other cases however, I can't track them all as I'm not 'daytrading' any longer and I can't follow the ones I don't buy as well as the ones I do buy. (i.e. BKE which I missed, but XLSW which I got).. So you must use you own DD to track them.. Entries are easier as you can basically set up some rules if the stocks are trading above or below their 7 or 13 days moving averages depending what you like best.
As I said in the next few days I'm awaiting some trading systems that will help you in your trendline analysis. I won't be 'charting' all the picks but I will 'synopsize' the Technical picture of the stock and give the "highlights" that I am the most bullish on. Just remember there is hardly a hundredth point difference between the first stock on the list of 10 than the last stock.. so don't ignore the last 2 or 3 because they are on the 'bottom'..
GNET which broke yesterday. A pattern is forming where the stocks that don't breakout out the day the watch list comes out will take 24 hours to break out and possibly 48 hours. So you MUST track them 1-2 days. BKE came up high on scans both fundamentally and technically. Also if a stock like ICIX is up 2 consecutive days, chances are it won't be up the third as is the case with high flyers. BYND was good for two days. Please analyze them and note the fact that I posted RDC the day before it broke out, and HAL the day it broke out. Also note the stocks are usually in the 15 to 28 dollar range with a smattering of hi-flyers that I reiterate on every watch list just as long as their uptrend remains intact.. those were NSOL, CMGI, VRSN, VRIO, and GNET. (still waiting for GCTY)

Bullish on the Telecommunications Sector, TLAB was up over 13 points yesterday but there are still other plays that are less pricey.. Some of my favorites are XLSW, MELI and PLCM..They all have very high relative performance, and are showing ACCUMULATION. We have already seen LU, INTV,TLAB perform superbly. Still bullish on the 'established' internets.. like GNET, VRSN, VRIO, NSOL, CMGI, MSPG and ELNK. Don't give up on GCTY, it should turn around.
Also watch the few bank stocks we have on the watch list in the last few days, they are turning around.

All indicators are bullish but be careful about the high stochastics here (91).. might be good for more since it had a large amount of institutional buys on Tuesday.

Waited for COFI to break through resistance of 28 7/16 before placing this on watch list. Volume patterns are still only neutral. COFI is that rare undervalued stock with value indicators giving it a value of $41. Very nice relatively safe stock with estimated growth of 15% a year. A good bet for those longer term traders out there.
