Earnings? Next Wed. after the bell. It'll be great!

Now if we could just close with a late day ramp to 43 1/2...

Joshi, you're kidding, right? How are they going to make the number after selling over 500,000 iMacs at $1299 MAP? A million copies of OS 8.5? Unit shipment of about a million this quarter?

Well, I'm sure Eric Yang will spell it out for you in a post tonight.

New iMac at $1199 indicates that demand is still strong and projected to remain the same. Getting $1045 for the rest of the Rev. B inventory instead of $999 is another indicator of strength.

Anyone remember what Apple's new price protection window is? Wasn't it two weeks? That is, only any iMacs purchased in the last two weeks from Apple will get the new lower wholesale price, if I'm not mistaken.

Alomex, Adam Nash beat me to it in terms of why this PSX emulation could be a big deal. First of all, it isn't a big deal unless it is bundled with the iMac. But if so, it is a very big deal as the PSX is the hottest gaming platform out there. This Christmas was the biggest video game sales quarter in history. And the key is that this emulator is for the Mac, not for the PC. PCs don't have a lack of games, Macs do.

Apple should go to $50 soon.
