Second, marriage is a civil contract. I don't know what state they were married in. Was it Arkansas? I don't know the laws of that state, but I suspect that at the time Arkansas probably considered adultery a violation of the marriage contract. Is it okay for people to do illegal things if they agree among themselves it's okay?

Well gee Chris, I guess we disagree a little in regards to "laws" that dictate personal behavior. I think, in many cases you need to use judgement to determine if these laws really should exist as laws, and whether to obey them or not. For example, Cupertino California outlawed the wind about 10 years ago. It is windy there and they decided to enact a law. Hmmm. They also have a "dump a duck, go to jail" law, that says if an apartment caretaker moves some of the duck overpopulation to the city parks. Do you think this really means that if you dump a duck, you will go to jail? Question for you: Lets say you dump a duck, hang a flag in the wind and commit adultery... does that mean you will violate the 3 strikes law and get locked up for life?
