Hi Mo,..Re:.I haven't been keeping up with the market nor the thread,

Have lots of chicken noodle soup, plenty of fluids and rest and you'll be back to your regular self in no time! I was missing your regular news briefs but thought you might be on vacation. <g>

Get well quick,

Lee

What has Barton Biggs been smoking???
He was on CNBC today and said viewers should "short the large cap blue chip stocks" as his only current global play.
A little pullback before earnings season may occur, but short the blue chips?
Barton sounds about as bright as me - the guy who sold IBM at 186 and INTC at 123 today. Brilliant.
Earnings season run ups have come early this year. Barton wants us to sell so he can buy cheaper. Clown.

Hi Mo,..Re:. Eco data

Hope you are feeling better. New home sales roaring away for Nov., report listed below. Not too much weakness showing yet, maybe in Dec. Jan. and Feb. because of the weather. At any rate, not a gloomy picture yet. <g>

biz.yahoo.com
FOCUS-U.S. new-home sales hit record in November

The Commerce Department said that new-home sales jumped 7.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 965,000
following an upwardly revised 6.4 percent gain in October to 897,000 instead of 851,000 as previously reported.

Take care,

Lee

Morning Mohan,..Re:.Employment Report

A blow your socks off jobs report. Some weak economy! Unemployment rate = 4.3%. Very good numbers including average hourly earnings.

stats.bls.gov

Employment rose in December and the unemployment rate, at 4.3 percent, was little changed, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Nonfarm payroll employment rose by 378,000. Growth was spread throughout the service-producing sector, and unusually mild weather across much of the country contributed to strength in construction.

Hope you're feeling better soon, we miss you.

Happy Friday,

Lee
