Wiley, no reason to apologize for asking a duplicate question.

I personally rarely ever short any issue. These markets now days are just too scary and I am happy with focusing on what I feel I do well on without trying to worry about both sides. If done well, it can be very lucrative but I would suggest if you decide to try such tactics that you always close your short by the end of the day for capital preservation.....just in case.

There are some definitely good times to short however.

Are you considering shorting, and if so, which issue?
