RE:"Intel's aggressive pricing of its Celeron chip
has Advanced Micro Devices working to maintain control of the low-end
retail market. Yet AMD has launched its own offense, quietly courting
Gateway to infiltrate Intel's hold on the corporate segment."

To my friends at AMD....

K6-2-433 and K6-2-450 ASAP...like NOW!

-------

All,
Does Gateway have significant share in the corporate market now?
With Intel Chips?

Jim

I have to wonder what kind of arm twisting Intel is doing to keep K6 out of the business sector. Is the FTC investigation making life more complicated for the Intel sales thugs?

Bruce, how did you manage to post *NEWS* on this thread? The server is usually busy responding to Engel's posts. Petz

Jim , "the decision to fight it out in the trenches with AMD"
may be a danger to Intel .(An excerpt from your PR)
Like all good generals or should I say Colonel (Sanders that is).
He is perhaps providing a decoy , grabbing 70% of the sub $1000 market
and getting Intel so mad that they make a full scale attack on the low end . As Intel concentrates on knocking AMD off their perch in the sub $1000 market , AMD quietly ambushes with K6-3 and K7 on the higher end
Colonel Sanders , I like that <bg>
