If I remember correctly, the reason xyln dropped to 10 or so was because ALA dumped them. I thought they were in the process of acquiring another company.
I haven't kept up on that one.
I still think xyln is the best fit for LU.
Does anyone else remember that?
Glenn

I believe IBM is a good candidate also.

IBM buying XYLN. That would be great. Hope I'm not in your head, Tim.

Tim, i heard this in the summer'98 from VC people on layer 4 technology - ALA was too busy to consider the VC's layer 4 solution b/c they were looking at XYLN!

I have no idea if you have mentioned this as I didn;t even know of 99% of the people on this msg board, in fact I was on Yahoo. This can be easily backed up by couple of people I mentioned it to.

Saw the raping of the margin accounts one day in the summer. XYLN went from 20 to 17 near open, then in 10 mintues went to 13, then back to 16. If I knew what I know now back then... This raping of margin accounts occurred roughly a week after I heard about xyln-ala. I kept seein xyln drop so didn't buy. and stupidly, i didn;t buy asnd at 38.

way i figure it, getting xyln near price then whereas asnd well above it's summer price.

above is without malice - not sure if you were joking or serious or what. above is actual events.
